Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Carer Services Navigator to work with carers during evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.

This is an opportunity to provide support through the Carer Gateway/Afterhours service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Triage carers contacting the Carer Gateway and provide end-to-end services including intake, registration, assessment and planning.
  • Provide emergency respite care for carers experiencing crisis and carer burnout.
  • Support carers via phone or online channels during afterhours shifts.
Requirements
  • Diploma qualifications in a relevant field, plus experience in community services, allied health or carer/family peer roles.
  • Experience in supporting individuals experiencing crisis and/or complex supports.
  • Right to work in Australia; current valid Driver's Licence and ability to travel.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (free online).
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check (Employee/Paid).
