About the Role

The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled and proactive Case Manager to deliver screening, assessment, and short-term case management interventions as part of their Additional Referral Pathway (ARP) Program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a person-centred, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to ensure the best outcome for all who seek assistance.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a fixed-term, full-time position based in Redfern, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 5.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a person-centred, trauma-informed, and holistic approach in a fast-paced service delivery setting.
  • Offer appropriate and high-quality support to individuals who may have experienced or be at risk of experiencing human trafficking, slavery, and slavery-like practices.
  • Complete assessments for indicators of modern slavery, risk assessments, and safety planning, short-term case management, and referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with the ARP team and partner agencies to achieve positive client outcomes and provide a comprehensive, client-centred service.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field.
  • A valid and current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
  • A valid NSW Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in the modern slavery/family violence/asylum seeker/refugee, and migrant support service sector.
  • The ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • The ability to work effectively with people who have experienced violence, abuse, and trauma.
