Job Title: Case Manager

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Case Manager to deliver screening, assessment, and short-term case management interventions as part of The Salvation Army's Additional Referral Pathway (ARP) Program to support the journey to recovery for victim-survivors experiencing or escaping modern slavery.

This is a fixed term (18 months), full-time position based in Redfern, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 5.

About the Role

As a Case Manager, you will work collaboratively with a person-centred, trauma-informed and holistic approach in a fast-paced service delivery setting to ensure the best outcome for all who seek our assistance.

You will offer appropriate and high-quality support to individuals (adults, young people and children) who may have experienced or be at risk of experiencing human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices.

You will complete assessment for indicators of modern slavery, risk assessment and safety planning, short-term case management and referral, with the aim of supporting clients to maintain their safety and access support pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the ARP team and partner agencies to achieve positive client outcomes and provide a comprehensive client-centred service.
  • Complete assessment for indicators of modern slavery, risk assessment and safety planning, short-term case management and referral.
  • Offer high-quality support to individuals who may have experienced or be at risk of experiencing human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development.
  • Valid and current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Experience in the modern slavery/family violence/asylum seeker/refugee and/or migrant support service sector.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively with people who have experienced violence, abuse and trauma.
