About the Role

The Allied Health Lead will play a pivotal role in driving organisational performance and employee engagement within In Home Care at Baptcare. This position will work in partnership with management and staff to contribute to the achievement of new directions and goals, transforming the organisation through effective leadership and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of dedicated occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to clients in the community, ensuring safe and effective care and clinical care that is best practice and tailored to individual needs.
  • Support the intake of new consumers, undertaking thorough assessments, care planning, and goal setting, and complete review or reassessment processes as required.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical care reflects current best practice guidelines and respects the individual needs and preferences of clients.
  • Operate according to Baptcare's procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with organisation and regulatory requirements, including all aspects of workplace health and safety legislation applicable to the role.
  • Report WHS hazards, injuries, and incidents (including near misses) and act responsibly to protect safety and the safety of others.
About You

We are seeking an experienced and passionate occupational therapist who is committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable community members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing occupational therapy services within the community aged or disability sectors, with experience working with Home Care Packages, Community Home Support Program, and the Short-Term Restorative Care Program.

The successful candidate will be a solutions-focused leader who is able to collaborate with and support others, demonstrating respect in their day-to-day actions. They will be passionate about continuing to grow their career in the IHC space and will ideally bring experience working with agile project teams, in product development, or in other fluid innovation environments.
