Allied Health Lead Podiatry

The Allied Health Lead Podiatry is responsible for supervising, mentoring, and leading the development and growth of a designated group of occupational therapy, diversional therapy, podiatry, physiotherapy, and allied health assistant staff within the Direct Care division of Baptcare.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in all aspects of designated allied health profession, including initial admission, assessment, care planning, and ongoing evaluation in a community setting.
Key duties include operating in accordance with Baptcare's Vision, Mission, and Values, promoting a culture of infection control and safety, and ensuring that scope of practice is compliant with regulatory guidelines and Baptcare policy and procedures.
The Allied Health Lead Podiatry will also be responsible for managing an independent caseload, completing assessments, care plans, and evaluations of consumer care needs, and identifying and following up on referrals to other health professionals as required.
Additionally, the successful candidate will lead and develop team members to deliver safe and effective services and supports for daily living that meet the consumer's needs, goals, and preferences and optimise their independence, health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Key qualifications include a demonstrated ability to apply various strategies to engage with and influence key stakeholders to achieve operational goals and targets, as well as the capacity to manage and escalate issues where risks are identified.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to continuously improve service quality and consumer experience, and proven ability to manage budgets.
