Commercial Analyst Role Overview

Are you a detail-driven and analytical professional looking to leverage your skills in commercial analysis, pricing, and financial modelling? This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team where your expertise will drive business growth and profitability.

As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping the business and clients grow sustainably and profitably. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial, you'll support everything from pricing strategy and financial modelling to reporting and opportunity assessment across the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain financial models for pricing, bids, and business cases
  • Deliver detailed reporting on revenue, margin, volume, and cost-to-serve
  • Conduct customer and segment profitability analysis
  • Perform root cause and variance analysis to uncover commercial risks
  • Analyse commission outcomes and pipeline trends
  • Contribute to commercial projects and streamlining internal processes
  • Participate in client presentations to explain pricing or commercial rationale
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience in commercial analysis, pricing, or financial modelling
  • Strong Excel and data interpretation skills - able to turn numbers into insights
  • CA/CPA qualified or PQ
  • Confident communicator with strong business partnering skills
  • Understanding of cost drivers, margin levers, and commercial risk
  • Proactive mindset with a drive to improve processes and tools
