About the RoleThis is a challenging opportunity for an experienced nurse to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across various medical and surgical presentations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent assessment and critical thinking skills, with a strong commitment to cultural competence and application of the Treaty of Waitangi principles.
Main Responsibilities- Provide holistic nursing assessments: Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care plans that align with best practice guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Deliver high-quality care: Ensure accurate and professional documentation, maintaining data security and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively: Partner with patients, whanau, and health professionals to optimize patient outcomes and promote a safe and culturally competent practice environment.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Commitment to completing cultural competency training.
- Full, clean NZ driver's license (manual transmission preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clinically credible and respected, with person-centred approach.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
- Emotional intelligence and well-developed interpersonal skills.
