We're seeking a skilled and motivated lawyer to join our NSW Wills & Estates practice in Sydney or Newcastle. As part of our team, you'll work closely with a Special Counsel and contribute to the growth of our practice.


Your key responsibilities will include drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documents, and advising clients on estate planning matters and will and estate disputes.


You'll also assist the Special Counsel in wills, estate planning, and estate administration, including representing clients in will and estate disputes, family provision claims, and other equitable matters.

About the role:


Key responsibilities include:



  • Drafting and updating wills, trusts, and estate planning documents
  • Drafting advice to clients on estate planning matters and will and estate disputes
  • Assisting the Special Counsel in all aspects of wills, estate planning, and estate administration

About you:


We're looking for a dedicated lawyer with at least 3 years of experience in Wills and Estates work. You'll be passionate about helping clients plan for the future and navigate complex legal processes with empathy and clarity.


Key qualifications and skills:



  • 3+ years of experience in Wills, Estates, and Trusts law
  • Strong drafting skills, particularly in drafting wills and estate planning documents
  • Proven ability to manage deceased estate matters
  • Experience in estate disputes/litigation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
