Medical Instrument Technician

This role is critical in maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety within the healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, sterilising, storing and thermal disinfecting reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment to prevent infection.
As part of a dynamic team, you will work under routine supervision to ensure efficient and effective operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, sterilising, storing and thermal disinfecting reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification.
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting, pushing and pulling loads.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions from line management and senior staff and work independently under routine supervision.
