Job Title: Sterilisation Technician

This is a permanent full-time position that requires preparation, sterilisation, storage and thermal disinfection of reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment.

The successful applicant will work in a large team under routine supervision to ensure the highest level of infection prevention.

About The Role

As a Sterilisation Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, sterilising, storing and thermal disinfecting reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment to prevent the transmission of infection.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a large team under routine supervision.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to follow directions from line management and senior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, sterilise, store and thermal disinfect reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Work in a large team under routine supervision to ensure the highest level of infection prevention.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Certificate III in Sterilisation Services at TAFE, or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to follow directions from line management and senior staff.
  • Ability to relate well to others and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills.

  4. Ability to follow directions from line management and senior staff and work independently under routine supervision.
  5. Ability to relate well to others and work effectively as part of a team.
  6. Problem-solving skills.
