Job Title: Senior Naval Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Naval Systems Engineer to join our team in Garden Island. As a key member of our Naval Combat System (CS) Engineering Team, you will be responsible for providing engineering guidance and support to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to the RAN on the weapon system.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to develop and maintain the technical framework for the CS.
  • Conducting Engineering Change activities in accordance with the formal process.
  • Engaging with stakeholders on planning and scheduling engineering changes.
  • Drafting Liaison Information Transfer Reports for foreign support coordination with SMEs.
  • Preparing Computer Program Test Observation Reports for Combat System baseline updates and operations.
  • Interacting with the Systems Engineering Integration Team and other disciplines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, and integration.
  • Experience in risk management and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Understanding of modern systems engineering practices and tools (e.g., MBSE, Agile).
  • Experience with the integration, testing, and evaluation of Combat Systems into Naval Platforms or similar complex military systems is desirable.
