Job Title: Unix and Linux System Administrator

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Unix and Linux systems, enabling them to effectively administer and manage various servers and midrange systems. They will be responsible for providing regular reports to management, utilizing these reports in system planning and Service Level Agreement reconciliation.

To succeed in this role, the selected candidate must have a strong foundation in developing, implementing, and administering effective systems and processes related to Unix and Linux systems. This involves working closely with senior administrators to develop and maintain relevant documentation, as well as assisting in reporting and monitoring tasks.

Key skills required for this position include:

  • Unix and Linux system administration
  • Server and network management
  • Database administration
  • System planning and implementation
  • Service Level Agreement reconciliation

A current ACT Government CMTEDD issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) is highly desirable, along with the ability to obtain and maintain one. The successful candidate will also be required to submit their response addressing the selection criteria, curriculum vitae, and details of two referees before the closing date.
