About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vocational Trainer to join our team at Top Office. As a Trainer - VETiS Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services to secondary school students studying entry-level Certificate I and II trade-based qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery: Organize and deliver training and assessments to students, including associated administration and compliance functions.
  • Student Induction: Induct students and school representatives as part of the enrolment process, explaining processes and demonstrating website and online learning tools.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with secondary school teachers, principals, students, government bodies, and industry associations to discuss training methods and progress.
  • Support and Coaching: Respond to questions, provide coaching/support, and resolve issues for students and stakeholders.
  • Resource Development: Work as part of a team to continuously moderate, develop, review, and enhance training resources and work processes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform associated training, assessment, and administration tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Eligibility: Eligibility to obtain a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card P).
  • Trade Experience: Experience or qualification in construction or metal-based trades.
  • Certification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or interest in completing this qualification).
  • Communication Skills: High-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and successfully resolve issues for stakeholders.
  • Computer Skills: Confidence learning and using computers.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to regional schools when necessary to deliver training and assessment services, as well as attend trade shows and other events within the region.
  • Professional Development: Willingness to maintain industry and TAE currency and participate in professional development.
What We Offer
