Nurse Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced registered nurse to join our team in conducting medical assessments and supporting candidate screening in line with Defence protocols.

  • Conduct telephone vetting and face-to-face preliminary assessments of candidates to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Review medical history questionnaires and document findings in electronic health records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to Medical Screeners, enhancing their skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
  • Complete thorough medical file reviews and manage report requests efficiently, ensuring timely turnaround and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain clinical equipment used during assessments, guaranteeing accuracy and precision in results.
About You

To excel in this role, you will be a registered nurse with exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to excellence in patient care and documentation, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality services.

  • You should possess current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a minimum of 3 years' broad clinical experience in a comparable health system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • You should be confident using electronic medical records and ICT systems, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
