About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support the delivery of our committed work and growing pipeline of prospects for government and institutional clients in New South Wales. This role will provide an opportunity to build connections across our networks of international experts and bring your knowledge to our clients and their projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial strategies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
  • Developing commercial and financial models and collaborate with project advisors, client contract packages for various elements of project delivery.
  • Managing commercial negotiations with various parties, including clients and industry partners, in complex arrangements across joint ventures, design and construct engagements, and collaborative delivery models such as Alliances or Integrated Delivery Partners.
  • Handling of contractual frameworks (including GC21 and Australian Standards), standard contract forms (such as NEC and FIDIC), and their effective administration including as our trusted representative and at times on behalf of clients.
  • Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve commercial management procedures, templates, and products that improve our client services.
  • Advising on matters of commercial risk and governance.
  • Collaborating with in-house counsel, insurance managers, and technical leads to produce fit for purpose internal solutions to commercial risks.

Requirements

  • Qualifications relevant to commercial management, finance, economics or relevant experience alongside engineering, law, or business.
  • Experience infrastructure consultancies and delivery of major projects; Practical experience of domestic and international Standard Forms of infrastructure contract.
  • Strong commercial skills and detailed understanding of relevant procurement and delivery strategies in New South Wales.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
