Security Compliance Professional

We are seeking a Security Compliance Professional to join our team managing security compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining compliance with contractual and legislative requirements, providing technical advice and support across various areas including technical safety, facilities and security.

  • Maintain DISP accreditation status through effective management and documentation of the security management system.
  • Lead and manage security by adhering to contractual controls, DISP accreditation, and policies.
  • Provide advice and lead internally and externally on security activities including ICT and physical security.
  • Conduct security audits and facilitate external audits.
  • Manage organisational personnel security clearances with AGSVA.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for security systems and processes.
  • Conduct sensitive security-related investigations when required.
  • Manage export requirements ensuring coverage and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Participate in incident response activities during security events.

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering or security discipline, minimum five years of experience working in ICT and cyber-related roles, and qualifications or certificates in security governance and architecture frameworks (CISM, CISSP, ISO27001, PSP). Additionally, they should have knowledge of Commonwealth Protective Security Policy and Defence Security Principles Frameworks, understanding of enterprise engineering, architecture, cloud computing and containerisation, and experience in conducting security assurance reviews.

The skills and qualifications we require include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering or security discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience working in ICT and cyber-related roles.
  • Qualifications or certificates in security governance and architecture frameworks (CISM, CISSP, ISO27001, PSP).
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth Protective Security Policy and Defence Security Principles Frameworks.
  • Understanding of enterprise engineering, architecture, cloud computing and containerisation.
  • Experience in conducting security assurance reviews.
