Cyber Security Specialist - Incident Response

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in supporting critical government operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, investigating and mitigating security incidents across secure environments. You will also be expected to analyse security event data to identify suspicious or malicious activity and escalate complex incidents with subject matter experts and management.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a Security or Network Operations Centre role and possess strong knowledge of ISM controls and government compliance requirements.

  • Monitor and investigate security incidents using Splunk and vulnerability scanners.
  • Analyse security event data to identify potential threats.
  • Educate and advise stakeholders on cyber security best practices.

Australian citizens with a NV1 clearance are desirable for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident response and mitigation.
  • Security analysis and threat identification.
  • Compliance and governance.
  • Cyber security awareness and training.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • CompTIA Security+, CCNA CyberOps or Fortinet NSE certifications.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint protection and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualifications or certifications in networking or video conferencing technologies.
  • Experience with offline secure networks.
