Cybersecurity Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex security solutions and safeguarding Australia's future.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct complex security risk assessments and provide advice on procedural security controls.
  2. Understand the security features and capabilities of current hardware and software products and provide expert advice.
  3. Provide specialist advice to explain systems security and identify strengths and weaknesses.
  4. Interpret security policy and contribute to the development of standards that comply with Defence policy and procedures.
  5. Review information system designs for potential breaches in security.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related engineering field.
  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity engineering and risk assessment.
  • Experience with security policy interpretation and standards development, and familiarity with Defence governance, compliance requirements and Australian Government security regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience with security certification, accreditation processes, and with security risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, and knowledge of hardware and software security features and capabilities.
