Role Overview

The Community Development Coordinator role oversees the Communities for Children program, supporting and leading the team to deliver on their role as Facilitating Partner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts and drive community consultation to ensure effective partnerships.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify strategies and co-design service models that meet community needs.
  • Lead the team in delivering community development activities and project work, focusing on outcomes and impact.
  • Develop and monitor Community Partner contracts and event-specific service agreements, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Monitor and assess the performance and effectiveness of services provided by Community Partners, using data to inform decisions.
  • Participate in strategic planning, tender processes, and support of the CfC Deception Bay Committee and Child and Family Alliance, driving growth and success.
  • Administer programs, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring a high-performing organization.
What We're Looking For
  • You will understand that relationships are key and will be skilled in bringing stakeholders on board and developing high-level strategic relationships, built on trust and mutual benefit.
  • A strong understanding of the local community or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire one, through research and engagement.
  • Possession of degree-level qualifications in community development, social work, human services, or similar, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in leading child and family initiatives, with a track record of success.
  • Demonstrated skills in community development and building effective partnerships, with a focus on collaboration and outcomes.
