Education Support Role

This role is focused on providing educational and wellbeing support to young people in a supported learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting teachers in the development and delivery of targeted, intensive literacy and numeracy programs. They will also work one-on-one and in small group settings with young people to promote their learning.

Additionally, they will contribute to Personalised Learning Plans (PLP) and collect evidence for NCCD adjustments.

In this role, you will also undertake administrative duties such as resource preparation and wellbeing support.

Requirements:
  • Paid Blue Card
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Previous experience in the youth sector with knowledge and understanding of local First Nations communities
Desirable Qualities:
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition
  • High-level communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to diagnose problems, foresee potential issues and devise appropriate responses
