Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Defence WHS Coordination Specialist to join our team in the Directorate of Strategy, Policy and Assurance. This role will be responsible for coordinating WHS activities across the Branch and organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate WHS tasks and activities, including managing incoming and outgoing correspondence;
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and respond to WHS issues, providing timely advice and guidance;
  • Support the development and implementation of WHS policies and procedures;
  • Contribute to the work plan, providing advice and assistance on methods of task completion;
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Branch and organisation;
  • Provide project administration support as required, including maintenance of structured processes and standard operating procedures;

What You Will Need
  • Demonstrated experience in WHS coordination or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Experience with Defence systems, including Objective, PDMS and SharePoint;
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
