Senior Insolvency and Restructuring Accountant Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Insolvency and Restructuring Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our insolvency and restructuring practice, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team, gain exposure across a wide range of insolvency and restructuring matters, and accelerate your professional growth.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and assisting with external administrations, supervising and mentoring insolvency accountants, and liaising directly with directors, creditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and assist with external administrations
  • Supervise and mentor insolvency accountants
  • Liaise with directors, creditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare detailed reports and undertake investigations into insolvent companies and individuals
  • Assist with litigation and recovery actions
  • Support the control and sale of distressed assets and businesses
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce or Business (Accounting) degree
  • 3-6 years' insolvency experience
  • Strong investigation skills, with a proven track record in successful recovery of voidable transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of the Corporations Act and relevant insolvency legislation
  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, accountable approach
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior team members
