Consumer Advocate: Protecting Consumers, Promoting Fair Trading
We are seeking motivated and experienced professionals to take on a challenging role within our Consumer and Fair Trading Division as Assistant Directors.
This opportunity enables you to work on critical issues affecting consumers and businesses, contributing to the protection of consumer interests and fair trading in markets impacting Australian consumers and small business.
As an Assistant Director, you will ensure that activities, investigations, or projects align with the Compliance and Enforcement Policy, plans, and directions.
You will develop, implement, and review plans for investigations and/or projects, including resource allocation and expenditure monitoring.
Additionally, you will prepare and/or review internal and external documents, foster effective working relationships and professional networks with stakeholders, and provide insights on trends, patterns, industry, and consumer behavior.
To succeed in this role, you will require comprehensive knowledge of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA) and demonstrated experience in managing investigations and/or projects, efficient resource allocation, achieving standards, and delivering outcomes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, large, complex organization is also necessary.
