About this role

We are seeking an experienced Surface Preparer to join our manufacturing team. As a Surface Preparer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

This is a full-time position working 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and utilities, with at least 1 year of experience in a related field. You will be responsible for operating air-powered sandblasting equipment, checking blasting abrasives and equipment, and ensuring compliance with WHS requirements.

  • Cleans and prepares surfaces for painting using air-powered sandblasting equipment
  • Checks blasting abrasives and equipment regularly
  • Ensures compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements
  • Works safely and efficiently, with minimal supervision

Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly rate from $30.00 per hour. In addition to your regular pay, you may also be eligible for bonus payments and overtime compensation.
