Surface Protection Specialist

As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the surface integrity of armoured vehicles and components. Reporting to the Surface Technology Lead, you will be part of a collaborative environment working alongside skilled tradespeople.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for preparing and bonding ballistic protection liners to armoured vehicles and components, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for adhesive bonding, ensuring optimal results
  • Apply adhesives and sealants to achieve high-quality bonds
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve process-related issues and improve productivity
  • Participate in training and professional development programs to enhance your skillset
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Good understanding of mechanical principles and processes
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Australian Government Security Clearance
  • European Adhesives Bonder (EAB) certification
  • Other certifications and qualifications as required by the role
