Our organization is looking for a skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team.
About the Role:- Prepare and process weekly payroll in accordance with relevant legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
- Review and verify accuracy of employee timesheets.
- Assist with payroll tax and superannuation calculations and lodgements.
- Perform month-end leave reconciliations and generate reports.
- Support end-of-month activities and ensure timely completion of payroll tasks.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in collaboration with the People team.
- Respond promptly and accurately to payroll-related queries from employees and managers.
- Ensure compliance with timesheet and payroll processes.
- Perform ad hoc payroll-related tasks as required.
- You have a thorough understanding of Australian payroll legislation and regulations.
- You have at least 1 year of payroll processing experience (hospitality experience preferred).
- You are familiar with payroll software such as Deputy and/or Wage Easy (highly regarded).
- You possess exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
- You have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- You have strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- You have a proactive, customer-focused approach to resolving queries.
- You have a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
