Payroll Officer Role
This is a full-time position in the NSW Health sector, where you will play a crucial role in supporting staff with payroll queries and providing basic financial and administrative support to the finance team.
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records in Preceda/ELMO, including employee details, leave, deductions, and allowances. You will also prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders.
In addition to these tasks, the successful candidate will provide basic finance and administrative support to the finance team as required. This may include assisting with accounts payable, responding to finance queries, and supporting audits.
This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment.
We are seeking an experienced payroll administrator who has knowledge of NSW Health awards, agreements, and leave provisions. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of payroll-related legislation, including taxation, superannuation, and Fair Work requirements.

Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, including data entry and pay run processing preferably within the NSW Health or public sector.
Knowledge of NSW Health awards, agreements, and leave provisions.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
