We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our professional services firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing end-to-end payroll for employees accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and process payroll transactions for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws, awards, and enterprise agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, managing employee queries and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts, identify and rectify any errors, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with legislation and industry standards affecting payroll operations, ensuring that our practices remain compliant and best-in-class.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting, finance, or human resources.
- Basic Excel skills, with experience using payroll systems a plus.
