Overview

About the Role

You will be completing a Certificate III Water Industry Operations qualification over 24 months. This combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this field.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out installation and maintenance for water assets
  • Read and interpret drawings and measure components
  • Mark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for machining
  • Use hand & power tools as well as cranes, forklifts and hot works equipment
  • Assemble, maintain and repair equipment/machines
  • Work with qualified tradespeople within the water industry sites
Requirements
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Physically capable to complete tasks
  • Demonstrated ability for high safety standards
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Keen and enthusiastic about learning new skills
  • Commitment to completing the traineeship
