Job Title: Transaction Lawyer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transaction Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of energy or infrastructure transactions in Australia, with 4-8 years of experience practicing as a projects or energy lawyer in private practice or in-house.
- Lead the negotiation, drafting and review of commercial contracts such as EPC contracts, supply and install contracts, balance of plant contracts, PPAs/offtake agreements, connection agreements, and O&M agreements.
- Advise on land acquisitions, planning approvals, and general commercial matters including NDAs, consultancy agreements, services agreements, and disputes.
- Manage external counsel effectively.
- Provide strategic advice on regulatory matters such as FIRB, Australian Financial Services Licences and Critical Infrastructure.
- Contribute to business growth initiatives by developing precedent contracts, adopting new processes, and delivering training to the team.
The ideal candidate will be admitted as a lawyer in Australia, possess proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes. They will be collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated, thriving in dynamic environments with strong problem-solving, commercial, and communication skills.
