Mine Geologist Role Summary

The Mount Monger mine site is an expansive operation that spans multiple gold mineralisation styles. The site includes the Santa Open Pit, Daisy Milano Underground Mine, and the Tank underground Mine. A key focus of this role will be to optimise ore production through clear direction to the mining contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Grade Control Processes - ore spotting, mark ups, sampling">
  • Complete routine RC chip logging">
  • Pit mapping and mark up of dig blocks">
  • Grade control production tracking and reporting">
  • Provide supervision and instruction to Pit technicians">
  • Planning and supervision of RC Drill programs">
  • Production and stockpile tracking from the mine to the mill">
  • Blast movement monitoring">

Essential Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology">
  • Significant experience in Open Pit gold mining, preferably with some experience in WA">
  • Good knowledge of mine production and grade control practices">
  • Working knowledge of Datamine software or alternative 3D modelling package">
  • Manual 'C' class driver's license">
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal">
