Position Overview
A.I.R Recruitment is representing a prominent and respected national provider of premium services across the mining, energy, industrial, and agricultural sectors. We are currently in search of skilled Fitters to enhance their workforce in Singleton. This role primarily involves workshop-based activities, focusing on service and repair tasks, as well as fitting components at client locations when necessary. Candidates with qualifications in Fitter & Turner, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, or Light Vehicle Mechanic, particularly those with hydraulic expertise, are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive hourly wage (ranging from $42 to $50 per hour based on experience and qualifications)
  • Permanent full-time employment
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday with a 9-day fortnight (6.30am to 3pm)
  • Overtime available at penalty rates, offering flexibility
  • Day shifts only, with optional Saturday work
  • Call-out compensation – minimum of 4 hours paid at overtime rates
  • 10% allowance for mine site roles
  • Regional allowances between $3-$5 per hour
  • Opportunities for further training and development, including a chance to obtain a Certificate IV in Fluid Power

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in equipment installation with strong fault-finding skills
  • Background in preventative and planned maintenance
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing processing and production lines
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively
  • Competence in the assembly and disassembly of components
  • A team-oriented individual with a positive attitude
  • Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to adhere to policies and procedures

All candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, which includes a drug and alcohol screening.
