Fitter Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic/Fitter to join our team. The key focus of this role will be to provide breakdown, service and planned maintenance support on a range of heavy equipment.

Working on a flexible roster, you will:

• Perform onsite repairs on a wide range of equipment
• Attend to site breakdowns within the region and surrounding areas
• Undertake diagnostic work
• Liaise with customers in the territory, building strong relationships
• Work with internal technical support staff to achieve successful maintenance

For this permanent role, we are looking for someone who can:

• Embody our safety culture and ensure it is displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else
• Hold relevant Australian mobile plant trade qualifications
• Have experience, knowledge and understanding of civil and mining equipment
• Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously in remote areas
• Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
• Have great technical knowledge and diagnostic ability, with excellent technical knowledge of heavy equipment being highly advantageous
