- We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and excellent communication skills.
- The role involves providing technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other hardware.
- You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all equipment is running smoothly.
- Additionally, you will work closely with other teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Desktop and Laptop Support: Provide technical assistance for desktops and laptops, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement as needed.
- Mobile Device Management: Manage and support mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, Android devices, and Windows Phones.
- Asset Management: Keep track of physical devices, including serial numbers, models, and vendors.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity by cleaning and wiping devices before disposal.
- Disposal: Properly dispose of devices according to company procedures.
- Server and Network Support: Provide support for servers, networks, storage, and backup devices, including restarting devices and checking power units.
- Cabling and Networking: Perform cabling and networking tasks, including internal cabinet wiring and on-demand cabling.
- HDD and SSD Support: Add, remove, and replace HDDs and SSDs as needed.
- Hardware Replacement: Replace hardware components, including server parts, network devices, and storage devices.
- Password Reset: Reset passwords for remote tools and access devices.
- Power Supply Checks: Check power supplies and perform risk analysis.
- Console Access: Access consoles and terminals over WebEx for troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with Cisco commands and raw/UPS power checks.
- Knowledge of local language and English language proficiency.
