Product Specialist Role

At the forefront of energy innovation, we are seeking a Product Specialist to spearhead our Mining Machinery Engineering Team's success.

This critical technical role is pivotal in ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement of underground development equipment.

As the subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and mentorship to mechanical personnel, empowering them to excel in their roles.

The Key Responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring and developing mechanical workshop personnel to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Providing product training and technical support to internal teams, fostering seamless collaboration and expertise sharing.
  • Assisting in commissioning mining machinery projects, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Managing customer interactions and delivering technical assistance, providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Reviewing and updating project documentation, assessments, and estimates to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Contributing to production scheduling and resource planning, optimizing resource allocation and maximizing productivity.
  • Ensuring product documentation is accurate and up-to-date, maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
  • Logging issues/resolutions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, driving excellence and innovation.
  • Assisting with product development, R&D, and proposal generation, enhancing our innovative capabilities and market competitiveness.
  • Maintaining standards and monitoring production quality outcomes, upholding our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification or Mechanical Engineering background.
  • Over 10 years of experience in underground development mining equipment overhaul (desirable).
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently, making informed decisions and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Proven mentoring skills and passion for team upliftment, inspiring and motivating colleagues to excel.
  • High-level communication and customer service skills, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional results.
