The Opportunity

Our client, a private markets investment firm based in Sydney CBD, specialises in private equity, private credit, and real assets.

We are seeking an experienced Private Markets Fund Administrator to provide fund lifecycle management support across the operations team, reporting directly to the Head of Operations.

  • Fund and Investor Cash Flow Management - Monitor and manage investor cash flows to ensure calls and distributions are met on time with minimal cash drag.
  • Unit Pricing - Produce and reconcile administrator unit pricing and performance attribution returns.
  • Investor Reporting - Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reports. Work closely with Investment Directors and Partners to ensure portfolio performance is accurately reflected in the relevant reports.
  • Fees - Review management and performance fee calculations for completeness and accuracy.
  • Foreign Currency Transactions - Review foreign currency transactions and instructions prepared by administrators.
  • Investor Statements - Review monthly investor statements prepared by the administrator for completeness and accuracy.
  • Financial Statements - Facilitate the completion and review of funds' financial statements within agreed-upon timeframes. Liaise with auditors on valuation and related issues.
  • Project Assistance - Assist with specific projects to address internal and client-related requests as required.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in funds management.
  • Fund accounting or funds management experience in a finance role (trusts and partnerships).
  • Understanding of GST and tax matters related to fund distributions and income tax in general.
  • Knowledge of AEOI regimes, FATCA, and KYC/AML.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues meaningfully and articulately with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive in anticipating potential issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate to meet required deadlines.
