Job Opportunity: Senior Lawyer

As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a critical role in ASIC's Enforcement and Compliance Group (ECG), working on complex investigations into suspected misconduct.

About the Role:
  • You will work across a range of large-scale investigations, guiding investigative teams in developing investigation strategies and addressing legal issues.
  • Lead and manage resources to ensure timely and effective enforcement outcomes.
  • Utilize technology to analyze data, information, and documentation to identify and present relevant evidence.
  • Address complex legal issues arising in investigations, including advice on evidence required to prove contraventions of legislation and the use of ASIC statutory powers.
Key Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Law, admission to the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory as a solicitor or barrister, and a current legal practicing certificate from the relevant State law society.
  • Significant experience in a senior role that involved investigation, case management, evidence gathering processes, project management, or detection of misconduct.
