Drive Data Excellence: Lead a Team to Transform NAPLAN Workflows

About the Role
  • Create and implement project plans, risk management strategies, and ensure timely delivery of NAPLAN data projects to achieve project outcomes and organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with the team to process HSC data during the assessment period.
  • Mentor direct report data engineers and analysts, promote knowledge sharing, and uphold coding standards across the team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor project plans, risk management strategies, and ensure successful delivery of NAPLAN data projects to meet project objectives and organisational goals.
  • Draft NAPLAN results reports and deliver high-quality datasets.
  • Mentor and guide direct report data engineers and analysts, promoting best practices and upholding coding standards.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience implementing and overseeing matured test strategies for large-scale assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical and project management challenges.
Requirements
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including query optimisation, schema design, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Python and PySpark programming languages.
  • At least five years of experience delivering use-case-driven data engineering solutions with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
