Student Support and Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Support and Wellbeing Advisor to join our Student Services and Wellbeing team at Queensland University of Technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality professional services to international and domestic students, addressing issues that impact their wellbeing and success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide brief intervention, risk assessment, crisis response, and critical case management services to students.
- Develop and deliver workshops, preventative programs, educational materials, activities, and events to support student wellbeing and success.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student transition and acculturation, financial, academic, and personal issues.
- Design and implement strategies to promote student inclusion, diversity, participation, and social justice.
- Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree in Social Work, with at least four (4) years' relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of welfare and wellbeing services to a diverse population.
- Proven understanding of student transition and acculturation, financial, academic, and personal issues, as well as relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with internal and external stakeholders.
