Facility Manager

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in the management of facilities. As a Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring that all contractual requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, with experience in team management and leadership. They will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively manage and coordinate the delivery of facilities management services within contract scope.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will also possess a good working knowledge of operations and maintenance environments, as well as IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The position requires a can-do attitude and willingness to jump in to ensure service delivery is achieved where required. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team is essential, along with the ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with client representatives and ISS staff.

It is also desirable for the candidate to have a tertiary education in facility management, business or related recognised facilities management professional qualification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of Facilities Management Services within contract scope.
  • Ensure Work Health and Safety procedures are followed as per contract requirements.
  • Oversee allocated financial budgets.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with client representatives and ISS staff.
  • Direction, management, and development of reporting ISS staff.
  • Monitor the application of asset management plans of the facility.
  • Introduce initiatives and encourage a continuous improvement philosophy across the sites, driving client/customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary education in facility management, business or related recognised facilities management professional qualification.
  • Demonstrable evidence of team management and leadership skills.
  • A good working knowledge of operations and maintenance environments.
  • Ability to recognise risk to building management.
  • IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to jump in to ensure service delivery is achieved where required.
