
Critical Care Physician Assistant Training Position

This position is designed for medical professionals seeking to develop their skills in intensive care medicine. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment, operating two pods with 26 beds. They will be responsible for supervised ward rounds, on-call duties from home, and non-clinical portfolio development.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervised ward rounds with experienced staff members
- On-call responsibilities from home, ensuring timely response to critical situations
- Development of a non-clinical portfolio, showcasing expertise and knowledge in critical care medicine
The Monash Medical Centre Intensive Care Unit provides a dynamic and challenging work environment. Staff members work collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care, leveraging their skills and expertise to optimize outcomes.
The unit is accredited by the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) for General Training (Core Intensive Care/C24) and subspecialty exposure to thoracic surgical, neurology, and neurosurgical intensive care.
Subspecialty Programs:- Provision of Critical Care US and ECHO within the unit
- Combined training program with Sonographers and Intensive Care Specialists with special interest and further qualifications in Critical Care US & ECHO
- Research opportunities in collaboration with academic institutions
- ECMO and education initiatives
- Specialty liaison portfolios for Cardiothoracic surgery, Neurosurgery, Infectious diseases, Anaesthesia, Emergency, and Obstetrics
