Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities ensuring a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate staff and contractors to maintain facilities
  • Contribute to maintenance tasks as needed
  • Implement minor projects to repair, replace, improve, and enhance school facilities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
  • Support quality education by maintaining facilities that support high-quality learning
  • Maintain a safe environment for the school community

Maintenance Planning:

  • Develop maintenance schedules to ensure well-maintained facilities
  • Supervise and support maintenance staff
  • Monitor the quality of maintenance work

Facilities Management:

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for facility improvements and implement projects
  • Assist with school security, including systems and protocols
  • Oversee procurement and management of plant and equipment

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in school events and meetings
  • Develop budget estimates and project plans for minor projects
  • Assist in the assessment and management of facility hire requests

Requirements:

  • Blue Card
  • Driver's Licence

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of building regulations and WHS regulations
  • Project Management: Managing small-medium scale projects, including budget management and stakeholder coordination
  • Maintenance Oversight: Overseeing building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Licences/Certificates: White card, Test & Tag, Working at Heights / Confined Spaces, First Aid and CPR
  • Trade qualification: Any relevant trade qualification
  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma: Building & Construction, Facilities Management, WHS or Business
