The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Administrator to support our commercial operational readiness for the Squadron Energy Port Kembla Energy Terminal (PKET). The primary objective of this role is to implement consistent contract administration processes and actively manage transactional aspects of contract management across the Squadron Energy Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the SQE Commercial Contracts Manager and Operations team in commercial operational readiness activities, including the handover of contract documentation from the delivery team.
  • Maintain robust records management and contract files.
  • Prepare contract documentation, contract notices, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Facilitate contract approvals in line with the SQE Delegation of Authority.
  • Maintain systems and tools to track accurate contract information.
  • Support procurement activities, including the preparation of procurement documentation and the facilitation of sourcing processes for new service providers.
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial Contracts Manager and Operations team to provide advice and support on the status of contracts.
  • Build productive internal and external relationships to facilitate the delivery of effective business outcomes.
  • Support financial and budget forecasting activities, including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and other costs associated with providing services.
  • Support reporting and change management processes.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement culture and environment throughout the ramp-up of operations and beyond.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in contract administration for infrastructure projects, including being responsible for providing support and timely advice, managing systems, and reporting of contracts.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing contractual documentation, including contract notices, schedules, and supply agreements.
  • Strong records management skills, including experience maintaining robust contract files and the use of systems and tools for contract management.
  • Advanced Excel, systems, and analytical skills, including a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience assessing, reconciling, and processing contract claims for payments.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities is desirable, including the coordination of scoping exercises, the preparation of procurement documentation, and the facilitation of sourcing, selection, and approval of new service providers.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry is desirable.
  • Maritime, Port Operations, Energy, or Engineering qualifications or experience is desirable.
