Perioperative Medicine Role

This is a challenging and dynamic role within a multidisciplinary team. The Perioperative Medicine Specialist will collaborate closely with anaesthetic and surgical colleagues to deliver exceptional patient-centred care for complex surgical patients.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive perioperative medicine unit.
  • Work collaboratively with general physicians to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Ambulatory Medicine or equivalent qualification
  • Specialist registration with the relevant medical board
  • Accredited specialist status in General Medicine with the RACP
  • High level interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
