Medical Education LeaderAbout the Role:
- The Director of a Sensitive Physical Examinations Program leads a pioneering initiative that enhances clinical skills for future doctors.
- You'll oversee Clinical Teaching Associates and drive academic development within the Doctor of Medicine curriculum.
- This role offers opportunities to innovate in medical education, promote patient-centred care, and contribute to best practices in sensitive physical examinations across healthcare professions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Academic Strategy: Oversee program coordination, strategy, and policy to advance medical education.
- Manage Educator Team: Recruit, train, and support Clinical Teaching Associates to ensure a skilled educator pool.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and review teaching materials, aligning with advances in medical knowledge and educational practice.
- Quality Assurance: Implement scholarly approaches to quality assurance and continuous improvement of the program.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with other health professional education programs to promote and expand the program.
- Research Opportunities: Undertake collaborative research projects to advance the field of sensitive physical examination education.
- Teaching and Mentorship: Participate in teaching and provide academic guidance to Clinical Teaching Associates and students.
Requirements:
- Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or equivalent qualifications, with expertise in sexual and reproductive health for all genders.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of best-practice patient-centred sensitive physical examinations.
- Show commitment to excellence in teaching medical or health professional students.
- Possess strong leadership skills and ability to build high-functioning teams.
- Have a record of scholarly publications and commitment to ongoing research.
- Hold or be working towards an educational qualification.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
