Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Senior Care Professional to join our team at Gertrude Abbott Surry Hills. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lifestyle, social, and wellbeing services to our residents.

About the Role:
  • Encourage resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
  • Assist in designing, delivering, and monitoring group and individual lifestyle services and activities
  • Implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents, involving the wider community, volunteers, and family and friends when possible
  • Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting
  • Provide direct resident care in relation to meal service, mobility, and social support
  • Support your peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues, and residents, adhering to all policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • A reliable team player
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
