About the Role

Air Liquide Australia is a market leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry in Australia. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost management for our operations in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on transportation, logistics, and engineering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop sourcing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders to assess business needs and optimize supplier relationships.
  • Conduct market research and supplier evaluation to identify and select optimal suppliers that align with business objectives.
  • Manage the full sourcing process, including business partnering, sourcing process, supplier engagement, negotiations, and contracting to ensure alignment with business plans and category strategies.
  • Lead contract negotiations, including contract drafting, ensuring compliance, and high performance of suppliers, managing supplier risk and relationships, and building strategic supplier relationships.
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders at various levels, influencing decisions, and gaining commitment to collaboratively achieve sourcing and business objectives.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a preference for road transport and logistics experience.
  • Technical skills in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract management, with familiarity with matrix organizational structures.
  • Analytical abilities, including data analytics and strong research skills to evaluate spend, market, suppliers, and present business cases and recommendations.
  • Interpersonal skills, including strong negotiations and influencing skills, relationship building skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity and resilience in problem-solving.
  • Problem-solving skills, including ability to manage competing priorities and make/drive decision-making or judgments in complex situations.
