Berry Street's Western Family Violence Service aims to provide a Specialist Family Violence team within The Orange Door.

The fundamental function of The Orange Door is to be a visible and accessible contact point for service users requiring specialist support.

We believe in offering help for people to identify family violence and child wellbeing issues, supporting access to justice and legal support, providing advice based on contemporary risk assessment tools and guidance, and giving connection and coordination of access to support.

Key Responsibilities

The Hub Team Leader - Specialist Family Violence will oversee and support a team of skilled professionals who work together to provide screening, assessment, triage, and response functions to incoming referrals.

This role requires the ability to reflect on complex situations, adapt to change, and work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders. You must have experience in a leadership position, including providing supervision to staff.

Achievements

You will supervise and direct a multi-disciplinary team to support The Orange Door. This role includes managing staff from other agencies, ensuring direction is provided as required, and supporting thorough and in-depth risk assessments for women and children.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or relevant employment experience. Your skills should include the capacity to analyze complex situations, provide reflection and adaptation, and manage change. You must also be committed to working collaboratively and holistically.
