Program Management Opportunity

We are seeking a Program Manager to lead the co-design and delivery of programs across our major research areas.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement processes within assigned resources and reporting requirements;
  • Oversee program governance with partners;
  • Identify and manage interaction between programs across our thematic areas;
  • Maintain, implement, and review the operations of programs, including day-to-day management of team members;
  • Develop innovative solutions to problems and provide specialist advice to stakeholders.
About You
  • Proven planning and organisational skills in designing and delivering large programs with multiple stakeholders and projects;
  • Specialist knowledge in related disciplines of agriculture, natural capital, and environment or national digital research infrastructure;
  • Capability in leading strong multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including influencing; and
  • Relationship management and consulting skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of program lifecycle, including process development and review, budgeting, resource allocation, and reporting;
  • Oversee program governance with partners, ensuring alignment with organisational goals;
  • Identify and manage interactions between programs across our research areas;
  • Maintain and implement operational processes for programs, including team management;
  • Provide specialist advice to stakeholders on problem-solving and program delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in program management, with a focus on leadership and stakeholder engagement;
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Specialist knowledge in related disciplines, such as agriculture, natural capital, and environment or national digital research infrastructure;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders;
  • Ability to manage complex program information and develop innovative solutions to problems.
