About the Role:

The Trade Start Advisor is a key position within the Australian Trade and Investment Commission's (Austrade) Trade Start network, which delivers Austrade services through local public sector and industry organisations throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect Tasmanian businesses with government stakeholders and programs to support export growth and market access.
  • Provide sound and practical trade advice to businesses, identifying opportunities and challenges in international markets.
  • Develop strategic and detailed solutions to support Tasmania's export growth and market access, working closely with government and industry partners.
  • Support the Trade Development Manager in achieving the strategic objectives of the Austrade Trade Start contract and the Trade and International Relations team.
  • Act as an additional Trade Advisor arm, building export capability across various sectors, including agribusiness, resources, science and technology goods, and export services.

Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship: Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
  • Security Clearance: Our successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
